
The 13th annual Meeting of the Minds Student Research Symposium will shine a light on the research and creative accomplishments of CSUSB students and alumni on April 11 from 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

CSUSB's annual Research Week will celebrate the research and scholarly achievements of alumni, faculty and students April 8-11. The event is an opportunity to learn about the research and creative activities taking place on campus.

The 42 students representing a cross-section of academic disciplines, presented their research at the 2023 Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research Conference, “Discover the Possibilities,” which took place Nov. 18 at Cal State Fullerton.

Held each fall at the Palm Desert Campus, the Taste of Research introduces PDC students to the Office of Student Research and provides an overview of the office’s activities and funding opportunities.

The program, which is awarded to juniors, seniors and graduate students, provides financial assistance for those interested in exploring and preparing for a doctoral program.

During the summer term, the RCC students will attend workshops and all 38 will participate in the Undergraduate Summer Research Program conference on Aug. 10, which is open to the campus.

Jonathan Solomon took first place in the undergraduate Behavioral, Social Sciences and Public Administration category, while Rangel Zarate took second place in the Graduate Education category.

The Meeting of the Minds Student Research Symposium, part of CSUSB’s Research Week, showcases the research and creative activities of graduate and undergraduate students from throughout the university.

Students interested in research and career opportunities in the field of criminal justice are invited to attend the event that will take place in the Santos Manuel Student Union South.
