CSUSB’s Department of Theatre Arts will host "Mariposa/Butterfly,” a collaborative work from playwrights, Sandra Fenichel Asher and Jose Casas, from Dec. 6-8 at the university’s Ronald E. Barnes Theatre. The family-friendly production is presented by director Johanna Smith and her team of puppeteers and actors.
A heartwarming play, fresh off a tour of local elementary schools, explores themes of cultural understanding and unity through the story of two neighbors divided by a fence, language and cultural differences. Initially they clash over everything — even a caterpillar on their shared fence. However, over the course of the play, the neighbors begin to discover common ground. Tickets are available now.
Children's tickets are free, and tickets for adults are only $5. They are available now at the CSUSB Theatre Arts Box Office or online. Parking on campus is available for $10 per day.
Please note that performance dates and times are subject to change based on CDC health and safety guidelines. For the latest updates, follow the CSUSB Theatre Arts Facebook page.
