The Tech & Cybersecurity Fair 2024 on Sept. 19 is an opportunity for CSUSB students, recent graduates and alumni to meet with top employers from the tech and cybersecurity sectors.
The Center for Cyber & AI (formerly the Cybersecurity Center) at CSUSB’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration in collaboration with the Career Center will host the Tech & Cybersecurity Fair 2024 on Sept. 19 from noon-3 p.m. This in-person event, which will take place at the Santos Manuel Student Union South Event Center, will bring together CSUSB students, recent graduates and alumni with top employers from the tech and cybersecurity sectors. Opportunities will be available for part-time, full-time, hourly, management, seasonal, internships and post-graduation positions.
The fall Tech & Cybersecurity Fair 2024 is designed for first-year students, sophomores, juniors, seniors, master’s students, doctoral candidates and alumni from all colleges and degree levels who are interested in pursuing careers in tech and cybersecurity. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with recruiters, explore various career paths, and practice their networking and interviewing skills in a live, professional environment. According to the Center for Cyber & AI, career fairs provide a valuable platform for connecting with multiple employers in a one-on-one setting, offering students and alumni a significant advantage in their job search.
Registration for the event is now open. In preparation for the event, attendees are advised to update their resumes and upload them to their Handshake profiles to increase visibility to potential employers. Reviewing participating employers and the opportunities they offer in advance will also help participants plan their schedules and maximize their time at the fair. Additionally, dressing professionally is recommended to make a strong first impression on recruiters.
