The Department of Housing and Residential Education (DHRE) partnered with Basic Needs and Student Support to provide welcome bags to all the new residents when they arrived on campus. The Basic Needs and Student Support team coordinated the collection of items, and the departments came together during DHRE Fall Student Leader Training to assemble 1,500 kits for the welcome bags.

The Residence Halls Association hosted the DHRE Week of Welcome events on Aug. 22-25, which included the fourth annual Yotie Sunrise, a welcome brunch co-sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Yotie Eats. More than 400 students attended the event, which was open to non-resident students, and enjoyed food, crafts, prizes and interactions with Athletics, DHRE and Yotie Eats staff, Division of Student Affairs leadership and student leaders.
