Pablo Gomez, associate professor of psychology at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus published a paper titled, “Does adding an accent mark hinderxcEvidence from Spanish.” The paper, co-authored with Melanie Labusch and Manuel Perea from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, Madrid, Spain, suggests that accent marks can be eliminated from the Spanish language.
