Host Lillian Vasquez spoke with Stuart Sumida, Cal State San Bernardino biology professor, expert in human and animal anatomy and a consultant to animators to help them achieve accurate animal movements and behavior with their characters. Sumida has worked on over 70 television, film, and video game projects and recently acted as a consultant for the character of Mr. Mittens in the Pixar animated film “Soul,” which is nominated for an Academy Award this year.

Bomi Hwang named 2020 CSUSB Outstanding Lecturer

Celebrated for her effective blend of kindness and rigor as an instructor, along with making notable contributions to campus culture, Cal State San Bernardino (CSUSB) lecturer of Korean Bomi Hwang has been named the university’s 2020-21 Outstanding Lecturer.
Hwang, a CSUSB alumna, was surprised with the news on April 7 at the start of a virtual meeting of Korean Language and Culture in the College of Arts and Letters as CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales and about 70 colleagues joined via Zoom screen to honor her.
