The Office of Student Research has announced the 11 Cal State San Bernardino students who will represent the university at the 32nd Annual CSU Student Research Competition hosted by Sacramento State University on May 4 and 5.

To be selected, the students had to present their research before a panel of judges during the CSUSB Student Research Competition on Feb. 23. With the support and guidance of faculty mentors, these students, who competed by discipline category and class standing, had 10 minutes to present their research topics and five minutes to respond to questions. The selected students will now compete against other winning scholars in the 23-campus CSU system.

The CSU Student Research Competition is a system-wide event that promotes excellence in undergraduate and graduate scholarly research and creative activity by recognizing outstanding student accomplishments. Student participants conduct oral presentations that are judged by experts from corporations, foundations, public agencies, and colleges and universities.

Following the CSU competition in Sacramento, the CSUSB Student Researcher Recognition Luncheon will be held on May 18 from noon-2 p.m. in the Obershaw Dining Hall, where the students, along with other student researchers, will be recognized for their accomplishments.
