CSHE logoThe Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism (CSHE) at California State University, San Bernardino, is a research and policy center dedicated to understanding and addressing hate crimes, extremism, and their broader social impacts. Through interdisciplinary research, education, and community engagement, the CSHE works to identify the causes of hate and extremism and develop evidence-based strategies to combat them. The Center collaborates with policymakers, law enforcement, educators, and community organizations to advance justice and social progress. By empowering individuals and communities with knowledge and practical tools, CSHE aims to foster resilience and help build a safer, more just society for all.

The CSHE provides students with opportunities to work with faculty and community-based organizations through supervised internships and independent studies.
