Armstrong Flight Research Center

Aerospace is experiencing huge advances in areas such as clean propulsion aircraft, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and RVLT (Revolutionary Vertical Lift Technology). NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) is at the forefront of these advances. California State University San Bernardino is partnering with AFRC in these efforts, by developing the necessary workforce (scientists and engineers). CSUSB graduates already work at NASA’s AFRC and more are in the pipeline via federally assisted National Science Foundation internships. One current CSUSB research project is using experimental drones to test new flight concepts.

CSUSB Upward Bound Students

CSUSB Upward Bound

High School Student Program

The Center for Advance Functional Materials partners with the Upward Bound program to offer university level research to high school students from the cities of San Bernardino and Rialto. Students from Rialto, Eisenhower, Carter, San Bernardino, Pacific and Arroyo Valley High Schools are able eligible to participate.
