Advising Student Hours

Faculty Advising/Office Hours for Student Advising - Fall 2024

NOTE: The department chair and faculty teaching summer courses are typically the only ones with office hours during the summer session. You can definitely try to contact other faculty during the summer, but they may not be around or their response may be slow.

Biology Faculty Advising Hours now also include Zoom meetings. If the hours listed do not work for you, most faculty will also work with you via appointment. Contact individual professors via email (usually preferred) or phone. 

In addition to Biology Faculty Advisors, there are professional academic advisors from Academic Success and Undergraduate Advising to help you. We recommend that freshmen and sophomores work with professional advisors for general advice and General Education requirements. You may also contact them over the phone or by email (contact info below). 

Academic Success and Undergraduate Advising Provides guidance for undergraduate students throughout their academic journey.

• If you are a Freshman or Sophomore, you may schedule an appointment with Advising & Academic Services located in UH-380 or by calling (909) 537-7345. You are also encouraged to meet with Biology faculty (see table below) for questions about Biology major requirements. 
• For New Transfers and Continuing Students (Juniors, and Seniors), you should consult with a faculty advisor (see table below). 

Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC) Provides advising to undergraduates, graduates, and alumni to prepare for careers in medicine and healthcare fields. 

• For current CSUSB students, you may schedule an appointment through Navigate.
