Alumnus Gabriel Lopez '19 has always done well in school, crediting his teachers and mentors who have helped him along the way. His experience influenced him to follow in their footsteps – after graduating from CSUSB with his degree in mathematics in spring 2019, Gabriel went to the University of Colorado Boulder to work toward his Ph.D. in mathematics.
“I am looking to serve future students by becoming a professor myself,” he said.
And he chose CSUSB as his stepping stone to get there because the campus was a place of familiarity and excellence.
