Native American alumna Leslie Archuletta finds her motivation in her children and believes it is important to demonstrate to them that higher education is attainable.
As a mother of two, Leslie Archuletta finds her motivation in her children and believes it is important to demonstrate to them that higher education is attainable. And she did it – Leslie graduated from CSUSB in spring 2019 with her bachelor’s degree in English.
She also credits the professors at CSUSB for helping her stay motivated, pointing out their passion and attitude toward teaching.
“The professors are all amazing and are committed to giving you the best educational experience,” she said
After graduating from CSUSB, the Apple Valley native moved her academic journey to San Jose State University.
“The reason why I pursued a college education is because I want to work in a profession that genuinely makes me happy and I realized that I needed to put out the effort to make that happen,” she said. “While there are many things in life that can cause momentary delays in education, I choose to continue pushing towards my goal.”
