The reaccreditation, which came after an extensive examination and intensive work by faculty, is good through 2026. The computer engineering program has been accredited since 2011 and the computer science program has been accredited since 1988.
The WASC Senior College and University Commission has awarded Cal State San Bernardino the maximum reaffirmation accreditation commending the university for its work and accomplishments.
“The way we operate as a university will not look entirely the same as during our pre-pandemic days. However, the fact we will once again be able to interact face-to-face this fall, without a screen in between us, is a cause for celebration,” said CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales.
Nearly 130 CSUSB faculty, staff and administrators gathered on Nov. 8 to discuss the university’s ongoing 2021 WASC reaffirmation of accreditation.
Citing it as being responsive to the needs of the inland region, the College of Education at Cal State San Bernardino received reaccreditation by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Less than five percent of the world’s 13,000 business programs have earned AACSB accreditation. The Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration is one of 17 CSU campuses that has AACSB accreditation.
