Marc Robinson (history) will give the keynote address at Washington State’s Martin Luther King Jr. celebration on Jan. 18, Ahlam Muhtaseb (communication studies) was interviewed by Istanbul University’s Faculty of Theology about her film “1948: Creation & Catastrophe,” Kimberly Collins (public administration) participated in a panel on the region’s logistics industry, James Fenelon (sociology) presented at the Jan. 11 UCLA Sociology Colloquium Series, and Everett Sheffield (industrial technologies) has passed away at the age of 83.
Memorial services will be held at San Salvador Catholic Church, 169 W. L Street, in Colton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to organizations most dear to him: Inland Empire Future Leaders or the Tzu Chi Foundation.
A memorial Mass will be held for Amy Leh, professor of education, on Friday, Dec. 10, at Our Lady of Assumption Church in San Bernardino.
Joe Liscano, a member of the university community for 42 years before retiring in July 2019, passed away on Sept. 13. Memorial services are pending.
Along with teaching and mentoring, Julie Paegle, who joined CSUSB in 2006 and taught a wide array of courses for the English department, was an accomplished poet and Pulitzer Prize nominee.

Longtime CSUSB faculty member C.E. “Tapie” Rohm Jr. died early Wednesday, June 21, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. The family has requested, in tribute to Rohm, for friends and colleagues to provide a kind act of service today in his memory.
