Students Network with 71 Employers at Fall Career and Internship Fair
The Career Center hosted its annual Fall Career and Internship Fair on Oct. 5. More than 270 CSUSB students attended the event. The fair connected CSUSB undergraduate and graduate students, doctoral candidates, and recent graduates with employers from a variety of industries. This year, students had the opportunity to network with 71 employers and learn about internships, seasonal positions, management roles, and full- and part-time career opportunities. The employers included Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, and government agencies, such as Cal Trans, County of Riverside Department of Public Social Services, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., and Marriott Vacations Worldwide - Marriot Vacation Club.
Cal Trans offered students multiple positions for full- and part-time jobs, internships, and volunteer experience, and the County of Riverside provided students with Technician and Social Services Practitioner positions and internships.
The Career Center received positive feedback about the event from students. “Extremely satisfied with the fair,” said a CSUSB student. “So many opportunities for students within their own majors and career paths.”
Another student added, “I think this was a great event that really provided me with a lot of great opportunities! I am looking forward to reaching out to the employers.”
The Career Center offers a variety of career and internship fairs throughout the year. Each fair provides CSUSB students and alumni from all majors an opportunity to meet employers who are eager and ready for them to join their professional organizations.
