CSUSB Honors Men’s Basketball Team with Block Party
CSUSB celebrated the men’s basketball team’s recording-breaking season with a block party on April 6 at University Hall Plaza. The student athletes stopped the competition all season long to finish with a 31-4 season and advanced to the NCAA Division II Final Four, where they challenged Nova Southeastern down to the wire.
At the event, the team was honored for their hard work and accomplishments. Attendees enjoyed music, food, and an autograph signing with the student athletes.
This season, the team broke the program scoring record, win record, and tied the deepest run in the NCAA tournament in program history.
The men’s basketball team season highlights include:
- Being nationally ranked in the top 25 for the entire season
- Only team to 30 wins and 3,000 points in CSUSB history
- Undefeated at home (11-0)
- NCAA Division II West Region Champions
- CCAA tournament and regular season champions
- Had five all-CCAA selections
