Current Status: 

Undergraduate Student in the Department of English

Public Speaking Experience:

I have taken various courses with much emphasis on Communication. Much of my Public Speaking experience also derives from speaking both English and Spanish which has led me to help small businesses garner clientele and ultimately succeed. My studies in Linguistics has also proven to be useful in both written and oral formats.

Why I work for the Speaking Center at JHBC: 

I love to help! It was through being taught and guided in a positive way that has ultimately led me towards wanting to do the same. I see working at the Speaking Center at JHBC as an opportunity for all to improve and gain confidence in their abilities.

My Consultant Philosophy: 

The wise Maya Angelou once said: "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." Often times, we think that what we know isn't enough, but it is. Always continue to speak up, and speak out!
