Bio
Sarah Patzold teaches a variety of Communication courses at CSUSB, including both face-to-face and online. Additionally, she also teaches in the Communication Studies department at Victor Valley College (VVC) in Victorville, CA. In 2019, she earned a certificate in Effective College Instruction presented by both the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and the American Council on Education (ACE). Also in 2019, she participated in a Community of Practice (CoP) to update and revise the requirements for the general education course, Comm 1006: Oral Communication, which were later approved by the Communication Studies curriculum committee and adopted beginning Fall 2020. Most recently in 2024, she earned a certificate in Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) designed by the National Council on Mental Wellbeing and administered through CSU's Innovative Teaching and Learning Programs.
