Bio
Dr. Richard Sinacola joined the psychology department in 2019. He has taught psychology, MFT, and counseling courses since 1985 at various universities and has served as past professor and Chair of Clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and past Chair of Counseling and Addiction Studies at the University of Detroit Mercy. He served as past secretary of the Michigan Psychological Association and past member of the licensure board for the State of Michigan. He is a licensed psychologist practicing in the Palm Desert area and is Pastor of St. Giles Catholic Community in Palm Springs.
Education
A.B. Psychology from The University of Detroit; M. Div. in Divinity from St. Clement Seminary; M.S.W. in Clinical Casework from Wayne State University and Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychology from Wayne State University.

Abnormal psychology, biological psychology, testing and assessment, addictions counseling, social psychology, psychotherapy, and the Psychology of Spirituality.
