Bio
Jurgita Abromaviciute received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Arizona in 2018. Abromaviciute’s research primarily focuses on revealing status-based inequality mechanisms. Her most recent study, funded by the National Science Foundation, combined a résumé experiment and qualitative interviews to examine how partnership status (whether a job candidate is married or single) modifies the motherhood penalty and the fatherhood premium at the workplace.
