Research and Teaching Interests
My research focuses on issues of access and equity in higher education with an emphasis on community colleges and Hispanic-Serving Institutions. In addition, I examine the experiences of faculty and student affairs professionals in such contexts. Ultimately, faculty and staff working conditions translate into the learning conditions of students. Finally, my abiding commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring has led me to engage in scholarly work related to graduate student socialization and development.
