David Carroll is an adjunct instructor specializing in cyber security.
When not teaching:
David Carroll is currently the US Department of Homeland Security, Cyber and Infrastructure Agency (DHS/CISA) Associate Director for Mission Engineering, delivering wide ranging cyber defense capabilities to the federal enterprise. David’s extensive systems engineering experience as well as operational experience in the field and as a decorated military cyber officer, has established him as a trusted cyber security leader.
David has developed a deep understanding of emerging technologies to include artificial intelligence and machine learning. When combined with an advanced awareness of cyber threat landscapes this understanding enables him to lead security teams proactively.
With over 25 years of experience in the field through operations to executive leadership, David has successfully led multi-million dollar security initiatives, carefully guiding organizations through complex security challenges. He has a talent for building and managing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of organizational excellence, and promoting collaboration across departments.
