Bio

Dr. Fitchett is an Assistant Professor of Special Education specializing in teaching students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN; moderate/severe disabilities). Her research and teaching are in the areas of general curriculum access, high leverage practices (HLPs) in special education, and instructional interventions. Dr. Fitchett believes all students should learn and participate in high-quality educational opportunities and is passionate about empowering teachers with the tools and knowledge to design their own effective programs.

  • 2019: M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership with Concentration in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis

  • 2017: B.A. in Special Education with duel certification in Elementary Education
