Medical Services
The Student Health Center provides in-person and phone/virtual "telehealth" appointments.
Self-scheduling is now available via the Patient Portal for select visits. Not all appointments may be available for self-scheduling. If your concern is not listed please call us at (909) 537-8177.
For appointments at the Palm Desert Campus Student Health Center, please call (909) 537-8177.
For the safety of all our visitors and our staff, if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Cough/cold, sore throat, fever or a rash;
- Been in close contact with someone with a positive COVID test;
- Have tested positive within the last 5 days; or
- Waiting for COVID test results

What to Expect When You Arrive
- Bring your student ID.
- Please plan to check in no later than 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time and, if possible, please check in online and complete any online forms.

Hours of Operation
Monday-Wednesday, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-5 p.m.
Thursday-Friday: 8 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-4 p.m.
We are closed Saturday, Sunday and all campus holidays.
To schedule a medical appointment, for prescription refills or questions, or to request health education appointments or information, please call (909) 537-8177. If you have an emergency that requires immediate police, medical, psychiatric or fire response, dial 911.
Phone messages are retrieved Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) and your message will be returned as soon as possible. If you are calling outside of these hours, you may leave a message and your call will be returned the next business day. You may also call (855) 262-5562 for our 24/7 non-emergency nurse advice line.

Nurse Advice Line
Nurse advice is available by phone at (909) 537-5241 -- Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After hours phone counseling is available evenings and weekends: (909) 537-5040.
Typical types of clinic services offered
- Physicals: nursing, sports, teaching, pre-employment
- Birth control: pill, implant, IUCs, depo; medication abortion.
- Emergency contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infection testing, pap smears
- Vaccines: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis), flu shots
- TB skin test: 2 appointments required
- General Health and Triage
Please call ahead to schedule an appointment and with any inquiries you may have. There is no charge for routine office visits.
CSUSB Palm Desert Campus students also have access to the Student Health Center located on the San Bernardino campus. For more information about the San Bernardino campus Student Health Center, visit the CSUSB Student Health Center website.
To Clear Immunization Holds:
Immunization records can only be accepted by mail or through the Patient Portal at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience, we cannot accept records by fax or e-mail. Federal regulations (HIPAA) prohibit accepting personal, confidential, medical, or immunization documentation through e-mail.
Currently enrolled students can upload your immunization records via the Patient Portal. (NOT FOR COVID-19 VACCINE VERIFICATION) Please navigate to the "Downloadable Forms" tabs, and then select "Upload" under the Immunization Records Section. Make sure to "Save" at the bottom of the page after uploading your records.

Students my bring their immunization records to the Student Health Center front desk on the San Bernardino campus or drop of a copy of their immunization records in the drop-box by the main entrance.
On the Palm Desert Campus, students can bring their immunization records to the PDC Health Center located in the Health Sciences building, room 119, or put them in the drop-box located outside the east entrance of the Health Sciences building.

Comments, Complaints or Questions
As part of the Student Health Center’s commitment to excellence, we appreciate and welcome your feedback. You are encouraged to share and discuss your care and other experiences with our health professionals and support team. If you would like to submit a feedback form with your comments, complaints or questions, suggestion boxes are available in the waiting rooms of both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert clinics. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your feedback and we encourage individuals to provide their name and contact information, however, individuals may also submit feedback anonymously. All feedback received is shared with the Quality Improvement Committee with the goal of improving quality of care and safety for patients and enhancing services and service delivery. The Executive Director (or designee) will respond to individuals’ feedback in a timely manner. Dr. Beth Jaworski, Executive Director of Health, Counseling and Wellness may also be contacted directly in-person by checking at the front desk of the San Bernardino campus Health Center lobby, by calling (909) 537-3070, or by email bjaworsk@csusb.edu.
