Fees and Financing
The Early Childhood Development certificate program consists of 8 courses, for a total tuition of $7,680. Participants must pay per term, and there are two courses offered each term. This means that participants must enroll in and pay for two courses at a time.
The following payment options are available to students:
Students may register and pay for courses using the Register for Courses button in the Student Center. This form allows students to select which term they would like to enroll in, and pay for those courses in total prior to classes starting. Tuition each term is $1,920. Please note: the registration form only allows students to select the term(s) that are available for enrollment.
Students may request an Installment Payment Plan (IPP) to pay tuition in three (3) installments during the term. Tuition each term with an IPP is $1,953. The first payment is half the cost of tuition for the term, plus a $33 administrative fee. The remaining cost of tuition for the term is split into two (2) equal payments. Payment deadlines are based on the length of the term. Please refer to the chart below for how payment deadlines are assigned to Summer courses versus courses during Fall or Spring terms.
Installment Payment | Amount Due | Deadline (Summer Term) | Deadline (Fall/Spring Terms) |
---|---|---|---|
Payment 1 | $993 | 1st day of term | 1st day of term |
Payment 2 | $480 | 14 days after term begins | 30 days after term begins |
Payment 3 | $480 | 28 days after term begins | 60 days after term begins |

College of Extended and Global Education (CEGE) certificate programs and courses are eligible for private loans. The choice of a lender and guarantor is a decision and responsibility only you may make as the borrower. CEGE does not endorse or have an affiliation with any lender. Please contact your financial institution for further information about their private student loan program.
Arrangements for any student private loan must be made prior to registration for CEGE courses or certificates. Full payment of class fees is due at the time of registration. Loan certification is not a guarantee, and terms and conditions must be accepted by CEGE.
Use the following steps to pay tuition with a private student loan:
- Apply for a private loan with a lender of your choice
- Notify CEGE staff of approved private loan by calling (909) 537-5976
-
CEGE is only able to certify the loan relating to the total estimated cost of the tuition
-
Once the loan is confirmed, the lender will disburse funds to CEGE, where they will be applied to the student's account. In the event that the lender makes an over-payment, funds will be disbursed to the student by check. Any unpaid balance remaining after loan funds are disbursed will be due immediately, to be paid by the student.
Many companies and organizations have tuition reimbursement programs available to their employees. Check with your Human Resources department for requirements, qualifications, and processes. A financial guarantee from your employer will need to be provided to our office before being enrolled into the program. Please email LeShay Dorsey at ldorsey@csusb.edu if you plan on having your employer cover tuition.
Local banks and credit unions offer private educational loan programs for individuals seeking degrees or continuing education. Check with your local preferred lending institution to see what programs are available to you.
