What advice would you give to new transfer students coming to CSUSB?
Ask questions, when you transfer you may not remember where the Financial Aid offoce is or if there is a place to make copies, well ask someone anyone. Also attend as many workshops and on-campus events. At our Palm Desert Campus, so many wonderful groups put in the effort to host not only informative but fun events. The bottom line is, you are not at CSUSB to be a seat filler , like they have at game shows .you are here for a reason, let your Coyote pack help fulfill that reason
Why are you proud to be a transfer student? Provide highlights of your college career so far.
I am so happy that I transferred. I am a non traditional student so to anybody who doesn't know what that is I am a lot older than most of the students in my classes when I 1st got to the Palm Desert campus I attended all the workshops and events in with so happy about all of the information that the group's made available to us. I am now part of the Student Ambassadors which is a volunteer organization that holds you accountable for being a part of Your community I think that's just such a great opportunity for everybody.
How has CSUSB helped you attain your academic and personal goals as a transfer student?
CSUSB is like walking into A Costco or an Ikea. What I mean by that is it may seem big but there's something for everybody Whether it's a student, professor a counselor and adviser any of the many workshops in organizations everybody is there to help and wants to make sure that you succeed and have the tools to help you do that period I have never felt like a smalle fish in a big bowl that's important to me.
