CSUSB hosts film screening and panel for award-winning documentary

The documentary, “36 Seconds: Portrait of a Hate Crime,” shines a light on the tragic 2015 murder of three young Muslim-Americans in Chapel Hill, N.C. Filmmaker Tarek Albaba and co-producer and lead researcher Ahlam Mutaseb discussed the importance of the film during a panel discussion after the screening.

Screening of award-winning documentary ‘Imagining the Indian: The Fight Against Native American Mascoting’

The film explores the genesis of the exploitation of Native American culture. There will be a screening and panel discussion on Nov. 2 at noon to 3 p.m. in the SMSU Theater.
