Cal State San Bernardino announced that CSUSB alumna, philanthropist and long-time university supporter, Ellen Weisser, will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at its Spring Commencement in May.
“The realization of the $200 million milestone is attributed to the invaluable support of CSUSB’s exceptional faculty and staff, dedicated friends and loyal alumni,” said CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales.
The “Our Defining Moment: The Campaign for CSUSB” launch video, case for support and brand identity package were recognized by the Inland Empire chapter of the American Advertising Federation.
“This year, I wish to focus on where we are with two major campus initiatives, which were launched at last year’s Convocation: our new 2023-28 strategic plan, which will shape our work and efforts across all segments of the university; and the ongoing ‘Our Defining Moment: The Campaign for CSUSB.’ Its success will also have a tremendous impact on how we are able to grow and serve our students and our region,” CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales said.
Stan and Ellen Weisser show their dedication to advancing CSUSB by helping students succeed and making higher education a priority for all.
The Sept. 7 event brought nearly 300 CSUSB administrators, faculty, staff, students and community members together in the Santos Manuel Student Union South to officially break ground for the new 73,337-square-foot Performing Arts Center.
The performing arts programs at CSUSB shape students into well-rounded individuals, giving them the artistic integrity and professional skillset to advance to successful futures in a wide-range of careers.
CSUSB becomes the first public university in the nation to launch a blended comprehensive campaign that includes philanthropic fundraising and funding for grants and research.
