The significant impact the Student Veterans Organization (SVO) has had on the campus community was highlighted at this year’s Office of Student Leadership and Engagement awards ceremony, where the SVO was recognized with three awards.

With a strong focus on community-building and academic success, CSUSB’s Student Veterans Organization (SVO) has cultivated a supportive environment for student-veterans, dependents of veterans, active servicemembers, ROTC cadets and military supporters.

The university community gathered in Coussoulis Arena, and the Palm Desert Campus tuned in to the livestream, as CSUSB kicked off the new academic year with its annual Convocation on Aug. 22.

CSUSB has been awarded the ALL IN Challenge gold seal award for achieving a college student voting rate between 40 and 49 percent in 2018 midterm election.
