
CSUSB supports student success through participation in a cost-saving program for textbooks and course materials through Affordable Learning Solutions.

The Symposium on Teaching and Learning (SoTL): RECONNECT will take place in-person on Feb. 23-24 on the CSUSB campus, with virtual sessions scheduled for March 1. The in-person gathering will be the first since 2019.

Jess Block Nerren (communication studies) was quoted in an article about the opening of the new neurodiversity space at CSUSB called “The Cog,” a place available to anyone with or without autism, ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia and other ways of experiencing the world differently.

The grand opening of The Cog will be celebrated on Feb. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in CSUSB’s John M. Pfau Library.

CSUSB’s Veterans Success Center offers a writing program directed specifically toward veterans and their family members. The result, 10 years on, is a trove of published books, regular appearances at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and a collection of author-veterans who range from poets to novelists to screenwriters.

The Faculty Center for Excellence also begins the new academic year with an expanded new structure that unifies faculty support and professional development in one center.

CSUSB’s Academic Technologies & Innovation Department developed a Library of Webinars for Virtual Teaching webpage as an ongoing resource for faculty, as well as a Faculty Tech Advisor Program and the Summer Virtual Teaching Institute.

The Hispanic Outlook Magazine in Higher Education ranked the university in its top 25 in the nation.
