California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is set to host its annual Alumni Hall of Fame Awards ceremony, celebrating the exceptional professional achievements and community contributions of its alumni. The event will take place on Friday, April 25 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Alumni Center.
The ceremony will spotlight three university-wide awards—Distinguished Alumnus, Emerging Leader and Coyote Spirit.
"This event highlights the extraordinary talent and dedication of our alumni, who excel in fields as diverse as health care, education, technology and the arts," said CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales. "Their achievements not only inspire the CSUSB community but also elevate our university's reputation across the globe. We are proud to honor these remarkable individuals who exemplify the values of CSUSB in their personal and professional lives."
The honorees include:
Distinguished Alumni Award: Dr. Appannagari “Dev” GnanaDev ’01, MBA
Recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to the medical field, GnanaDev is the chairman of the Surgery Department at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and founder of Cal Med Physicians and Surgeons, Inc. Among his many accolades, he served as president of the California Medical Association and has been honored with the American Medical Association Foundation Excellence in Medicine Award.
Emerging Leader Award: Mirna Orihuela ’14, B.S., Health Care Management
Orihuela, a regional administrator with Kaiser Permanente, has made a significant impact in health care services administration. Her leadership and dedication extend beyond her career to include advisory roles and community service, such as her work with the California Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Coyote Spirit Award: Roderick M. “Rod” Hendry ’83, B.A., English, ’85, M.A., English Composition
A financial advisor with more than 35 years of experience, Hendry has been a steadfast supporter of CSUSB, volunteering extensively with the Palm Desert Campus. His contributions reflect a deep commitment to advancing the university’s mission.
