In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Cal State San Bernardino’s Office of Community Engaged Learning partnered with Wish of a Lifetime to bring joy to residents at Valley Health Care Center. The initiative, aimed at fostering community connections and brightening the day of older adults, saw members of the CSUSB campus community delivering 100 long-stem red, pink and white roses to the facility. Along with the flowers, residents received heartfelt, hand-made cards created by CSUSB students.
The visit was met with warmth and gratitude, as residents expressed their appreciation for the time and effort spent making the day special. Through partnerships like this, CSUSB continues to demonstrate its commitment to community engagement and meaningful service. Wish of a Lifetime, an organization dedicated to granting life-changing wishes for older adults and challenging perceptions of aging, played a key role in making the event possible.
