Cal State San Bernardino will kick off its 39th annual Student Research Competition at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, where students from all five colleges will showcase their academic research in CSUSB’s Center for Global Innovation. This highly anticipated event provides students the opportunity to develop their presentation and communication skills while demonstrating their scholarly achievements.
Throughout the day, participants will present their innovative research projects before a panel of judges, including faculty members and experts from various fields. The competition is designed to foster hands-on learning and scholarly growth, enabling students to refine their abilities to present complex topics in a clear and engaging manner.
The winners of the CSUSB competition will move on to represent the university at the California State University (CSU) Research Competition, a prestigious statewide event where they will compete against other top scholars across the CSU system. The 2025 CSU Research Competition will be held at Cal Poly Humbolt on April 25-26.
Last year’s CSUSB competition featured 50 student presenters, with 14 advancing to the CSU Research Competition. The annual event continues to serve as a platform for students to gain recognition for their research and academic talents, while also giving them the chance to network with scholars from other campuses.
