Undocumented students at CSU San Bernardino are fighting for their protection

Paloma Villegas (sociology) was interviewed for a segment about some Cal State San Bernardino students who are advocating that San Bernardino be designated a sanctuary city. With the Trump administration set to take over the White House in January, a group of undocumented students from CSUSB are fighting for local officials to declare San Bernardino a sanctuary city.


‘Fire Kinship: Southern California Native Ecology and Art,’ the Fowler Museum’s second PST ART exhibition, advocates for a return to Native practices

Daisy Ocampo Diaz (Caxcan), assistant professor of history at CSUSB, curated the exhibit “Fire Kinship: Southern California Native Ecology and Art,” which will be on display at the UCL A Fowler Museum Jan. 12 through July 13. Also listed as curators are Michael Chavez (Tongva), former Fowler archaeological collections manager and NAGPRA project manager at CSUSB; and Lina Tejeda (Pomo) M.A. in history at CSUSB. The exhibition is part of the nation’s largest art event, Getty’s PST ART: Art & Science Collide.
