The CSUSB Chamber Singers are set to perform alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Dec. 21 and 22. Under the baton of conductor David Newman, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will provide an orchestral backdrop to the choral performance. Tickets are available now.

"We’re very excited that our CSUSB Chamber singers have this incredible opportunity," said Rueyling Chuang, dean of the College of Arts and Letters. "This is a fantastic moment for our students to gain invaluable real-world experience, and we’re immensely grateful to choir director and chair of music, Lesley Leighton, for her unwavering efforts in making this collaboration possible."

The event will feature an LA Philharmonic production of composer John Williams’ soundtrack of the classic holiday film, “Home Alone.” The inclusion of the chamber singers in this event marks a significant milestone for the ensemble, allowing them to showcase their musical talents on a grand stage.

“This is the second year in a row that our students have been given this wonderful opportunity to sing in one of the top concert halls in the world, surrounded by all professional musicians,” said Leighton. “It gives them the opportunity to experience what it's like to work at the top level in professional music in Los Angeles, with one of the best orchestras in the world, led by one of the best-known conductor-composers in the film industry.”
