CSUSB students, faculty, staff and alumni gathered at both the Palm Desert and San Bernardino campuses on Tuesday, Dec. 3, for two special ceremonies celebrating the Cal State San Bernardino Department of Nursing’s 50th anniversary.

Attendees reflected on the program’s many milestones over the past 50 years and enjoyed a special video presentation highlighting the program’s achievements.

Remarks were provided by Pinthusorn Pattayakorn, interim nursing department chair; Edna Martinez, associate vice president, Palm Desert Campus; and Sastry Pantula, dean, College of Natural Sciences.

Special recognition awards were presented to former department chairs, honoring their leadership and dedication in elevating the program to its current status as a leader in nursing education.

The CSUSB Department of Nursing offers a range of programs to meet students’ educational and professional needs, including a pre-licensure BSN, hybrid RN-BSN, Concurrent Enrollment Programs (CEP), and a hybrid MSN with various concentrations.
