Cal State San Bernardino is once again hosting its annual Holiday Gala show, a cherished tradition that brings together the university’s talented students, faculty and staff for a celebration of music and the holiday spirit.
This year’s theme is “Joy to the World,” and performances will take place on Monday, Dec. 4, and Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall, located in CSUSB’s Performing Arts Building, room 102. Tickets are available now.
Attendees will enjoy a musical lineup featuring the CSUSB Piano Ensembles, CSUSB New Music Ensemble, CSUSB Jazz Ensemble, CSUSB Saxophone Ensemble, CSUSB Viola Ensemble, CSUSB Early Music Ensemble, CSUSB Cello Ensemble, and the CSUSB Symphony Orchestra. Adding a special touch to the evening, the performances will highlight 2024 featured soloists, and CSUSB Alumni, Denise Tillman, soprano, Jessica Gubaton, alto, Rhonert Pascual, tenor, and Keinan Hernandez, bass.
As a hallmark of the season, this event offers an opportunity to revel in the sounds of the holidays while celebrating the achievements of the CSUSB Music Department. The Holiday Gala is sponsored by university President Tomás D. Morales, who traditionally attends the event to show his support for the arts and the university community.
After the concert, attendees are invited to a festive reception in the lobby, where cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
To purchase tickets, visit the Holiday Gala event page. Discounts are available for students, alumni, military personnel and seniors. Early ticket purchase is encouraged as this popular event tends to sell out quickly.
