CSUSB’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) program will host its first Meet & Greet event on July 17 from noon-1:30 p.m. in the Center for Global Innovation, room 113, at the San Bernardino campus. Attendees will explore the comprehensive MSPA program, meet faculty and staff, and discover how the program will equip students with the clinical skills and cultural humility needed to excel in the Inland Empire healthcare workforce.

The Meet & Greet is an ideal setting for prospective students to experience the community in the Inland Empire and get an exterior view of the building formerly known as the Yasuda Center as it is remodeled into a state-of-the-art facility for the MSPA program. At the event, students will have the opportunity to ask questions, enjoy a panel discussion, tour the campus, and gain valuable perspectives on what it will be like to be a part of the program.

The Meet & Greet is for undergraduate students who are beginning to explore the physician assistant profession or post-graduates who are ready to submit their application for the inaugural class, projected to start in August 2025. To RSVP for the Meet & Greet, visit the event’s Qualtrics webpage.

The event is more than an informational session; it is a glimpse into the future physician assistant education offered at CSUSB. Students will learn about the curriculum, admissions process, and the unique experiences that the program offers to prepare future physician assistants for successful careers in healthcare.

There will be light refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere as attendees learn what it means to be a Coyote. The MSPA team is looking forward to meeting those who attend.

Accreditation Status of MSPA Program
CSUSB has applied for Accreditation-Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). The university anticipates matriculating its first class in August 2025, pending achieving Accreditation-Provisional status at the March 2025 ARC-PA meeting.

Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards. Accreditation-Provisional status is also granted when a proposed program appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the ARC-PA Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students. In the event the program does not earn accreditation-provisional status, students will not matriculate, and admissions deposits will be refunded. CSUSB is fully accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
