Cal State San Bernardino will celebrate the valuable impact in international education and global exchange when it celebrates International Education Week (IEW) from Nov. 6-9, highlighted by a keynote presentation by Jamie Kneitel, Fulbright scholar ambassador, at noon on Thursday, Nov. 9.
IEW is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, aligning with CSUSB’s dedication to cultivating global awareness.
The weeklong event embodies the university’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding and equipping American students with the tools and perspectives needed to thrive in a globalized world. Moreover, it serves as a beacon, drawing promising future leaders from around the world to our campus, where they can engage in transformative learning experiences and enrich our diverse community.
Events scheduled for the week include sessions that will be held in person and virtually. A sampling:
- Noon, Monday, Nov. 6: EA Virtual Experiences, Center for Global Innovation (CGI) second floor
- Noon, Tuesday, Nov. 7: International Tea Time and Fashion Show, CGI Third Floor Terrace
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8: Education Abroad Expo, Day 1, CGI first floor lobby
- Noon- 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9: Education Abroad Expo, Day 2 (hybrid), including Kneitel’s presentation at noon, Pfau Library room PL-4005A and on Zoom.
