Cal State San Bernardino’s Procurement and Contracts Team has earned the National Procurement Institute’s (NPI) Achievement in Excellence in Procurement (AEP) award. 

This prestigious award is earned by organizations that demonstrate excellence by achieving or surpassing benchmark scores designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership attributes, according to the NPI website.

“The application is designed to encourage procurement professionals to go beyond the minimum requirements as set yearly by the AEP Sponsors and to recognize innovative programs and solutions that exemplify outstanding achievements,” according to the AEP website. It further notes, “The award not only focuses on practical, documented work but also recognizes leadership and contributions that further advance the public procurement profession.”

The CSUSB Procurement and Contracts Team includes Jay S. Wood, interim executive director and chief procurement officer, procurement services and director, accounts payable, travel and disbursements; Alma Sanchez; Amy Beran; Angelica Jara; Ashley Alcazar; Jairo “JC” Cortez; Karo Alba Hernandez; Robin Bewley and Rodrigo Melesio.
