While working in the theater department, Professor Thomas Provenzano discovered the large population of first-generation college students at Cal State San Bernardino, which he says has been a wonder to see.

Provenzano discusses the importance of diversity in students and faculty and how beneficial it is to have a range of perspectives in theater. He says professors from all different walks of life, including those educated in theater, bring different cultural backgrounds, passions, understandings and methods to the table when teaching students at CSUSB.
