A Thanksgiving food drive and Christmas toy drive will be held by the MBA Service Team and the Department of Marketing at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, which have joined forces with other departments at the college.
The Thanksgiving food drive will run through Tuesday, Nov. 23, as part of the food security initiative on the Cal State San Bernardino campus. All donations can be dropped off at the MBA office at Jack H. Brown Hall, Room 283 or any department office on the fourth floor between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. All the donations will be taken to the Obershaw DEN on Wednesday, Nov. 24.
The preferred items for donations include:
Food items:
- Canned fruit
- Macaroni and Cheese box dinners
- Macaroni and Cheese microwave cups
- Spaghetti noodles
- Pasta sauce
- Granola bars
- Canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc.)
- Breakfast cereal
- Peanut butter
- Jelly or jam
- Fruit cups or pudding cups
- Canned pasta (Chef Boyardee or SpaghettiOs, etc.)
- Other individually packaged food that can go into a day pack of food for students.
- Gift card for a local grocery store
Hygiene items:
- Razors
- Deodorant
- Shaving cream
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Body wash
The Christmas toy drive, which will go on through Dec. 16, will benefit the San Bernardino homeless and low-income community. New unwrapped toys, socks and blankets will be accepted and can be dropped off at the MBA office, Room 283 or any department office on the fourth floor of Jack H. Brown Hall.

The MBA Service Team and the Department of Marketing have organized these drives in collaboration with the JHBC departments: public administration; management; accounting and finance; and information and decision sciences; and the JHBC Office of Academic Equity, Global Ambassadors and Professional Writing Office.
