In lieu of Coyote Cares Day this year, the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) at Cal State San Bernardino invites the campus community to participate in National Volunteer Week, April 18-24.
The OCE and campus community will celebrate National Volunteer Week and Earth Day by sustaining the environment through service. Starting Monday, April 19, the office will provide a bucket list of ways you can get involved. Anyone who completes four or more of the challenges will receive exclusive OCE swag.
In addition, a virtual volunteer fair is planned for April 20-22, where students can watch videos from community partners and complete a virtual scavenger hunt. Students who complete the scavenger hunt, in its entirety, will receive exclusive OCE swag.
The campus community is encouraged to snap a selfie while participating in National Volunteer Week or the virtual volunteer fair. Some selfies may be featured on CSUSB’s socials and used for future programming.
For more information, visit the OCE Virtual Volunteer Fair webpage and the CSU Virtual Volunteer webpage.
In addition, the OCE is currently accepting submissions from students, faculty, staff and administrators for the Do Good Volunteer Recognition Award, which recognizes those who continue to do good in the community, even in the face of uncertainty. To be eligible for this award, you must have volunteered a minimum of 25 hours between Dec. 1, 2020-April 30, 2021. The deadline to submit your volunteer hours for recognition is Friday, April 30, at 5 p.m. For more details and submission requirements, visit the Do Good Award webpage.
