Nursing students from the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus conducted a clinic for homeless people in Palm Springs on May 15 at the Well in the Desert's free lunch program at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
The nursing students also assisted UC Riverside medical residents with a medical clinic and a COVID-19 testing center run by the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, where the students screened people before they were tested.
The nursing students were supervised by Dr. Diane Vines, an instructor at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus, and conduct these clinics every week.
