A Cal State San Bernardino administrator, professor and student body president will appear on a Facebook Live program with host Jackeline Cacho to discuss Latinos in education and in the workforce in a post-pandemic world.
The JC Jackeline Cacho TV Show will air at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, on her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/jackycachotv.
Cacho will be joined by Robert Nava, CSUSB vice president of University Advancement; Enrique Murillo Jr., director of Latino Education and Advocacy Days (LEAD); and Adonis Galarza-Toledo, ASI president.
Many Latinos are shouldering a disproportionate burden of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet Latinos are the bridge to a post-pandemic future, as well as a post-pandemic economy.
The program will explore the idea that what happens to Latinos in education and in the workforce development has profound and significant implications for everyone, whether or not they are in that population. How can we address the Latino Educational Crisis during COVID-19 times? What role can the LEAD programs and events play in this matter?
Cacho is the creator of Edutainment in Spanish Programming in the U.S., an international award-winning journalist, producer of the national TV show “Jackeline Cacho Presenta Triunfo Latino” and author of “Mi Mochila Emocional.” Cacho has two Emmy nominations: Outstanding National TV Show in Entertainment and Outstanding Talent in Daytime Program.
