Cal State San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus nursing students supported the Coachella Valley Volunteers in Medicine’s effort to provide more than 90 free COVID-19 tests to the underserved and uninsured of the East Valley, most of whom are farm workers.

CSUSB Palm Desert Campus nursing students who assisted with COVID-19 testing in the Coachella Valley with U.S. Rep. and physician Raul Ruiz, D-Palm Desert. — CSUSB Palm Desert Campus nursing students who supported COVID-19 testing efforts in the Coachella Valley with U.S. Rep. and physician Raul Ruiz, D-Palm Desert, who also helped with the testing.

CSUSB Palm Desert Campus nursing students did pre-screening and follow-up calls for farm workers in the Coachella Valley, who had been tested as part of Coachella Valley Volunteers in Medicine's effort, supported by U.S. Rep. Raul Ruiz -- who is also a physician -- to provide about 200 free COVID-19 tests to the underserved and uninsured of the East Valley.
