“Ranking in the top 20 for our economics program shows the dedication of our faculty and staff, whose work reinforces the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and CSUSB’s mission to provide a professional, ethical, and intellectual education for each student,” said Dean Rafik Mohamed. “The college, which houses the economics department, is proud of this ranking and we look forward to continue guiding our students toward their goals.”

Eric Nilsson, chair of the economics department, said the ranking is a compliment to the faculty which “has a long tradition of high-quality teaching. However, our faculty aims not only to be good teachers but to do meaningful research that promotes positive social change.”
