Tips and tricks on irrigation and sod removal around your home will be offered during a presentation on increasing your water conservation efforts Saturday, Dec. 5, at Cal State San Bernardino.

The free 9 a.m. event will be held at the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation Demonstration Garden at CSUSB. Parking is free in Lot G, which is directly across from the garden.

The first five registrants will receive a $20 Home Depot gift card, and all attendees receive either a waterwise container plant or irrigation accessory.

Future classes will cover topics such as native plant installation and maintenance, low-impact pest management for native plants, and dry streambed design and installation.

The event is presented by the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District, the CSUSB Water Resources Institute and the San Bernardino Valley Water District.
