The World Affairs Council of Inland Southern California will celebrate its 50th anniversary by honoring Jack Dangermond, founder and CEO of Esri, on Monday, March 14.
The council will present Dangermond with the Local/Global Impact Award during its celebration, set for 6-8 p.m. at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, 3649 Mission Inn Ave. in Riverside.
Esri, a global company headquartered in the inland region, is transforming the world by offering better ways to investigate, analyze, and solve problems through visual representations and GIS mapping.
Dangermond will share some of those recent breakthrough solutions that have revolutionized how decisions are made, and inspire new ways of thinking in his talk, “Creating Our Future –Sustainable Solutions for Our World.”
The World Affairs Council of Inland Southern California was founded by business and university visionaries, has brought leaders from all over the world to the Inland Empire to share ideas and build an enduring local-global connection. It's office is based at Cal State San Bernardino's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
The council’s 50th anniversary will look back on a half century of success in building a global presence, and project forward to the next 50 years continuing to transform the Inland Empire into global prominence.
Jack Dangermond’s Esri and the World Affairs Council of Inland Southern California represent an academic-business partnership that is an example of the inevitability of that future.
