Sen. Charlie Roan, a candidate for president of the United States, has promised to eliminate the event known to all Americans as “the purge.” So now she’s a target, and she’ll only win if she survives this ritual night of death.

No worries. It’s just a movie. “The Purge: Election Year” screens at Cal State San Bernardino on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.

Written and directed by James DeMonaco, the film stars Frank Grillo, Elizabeth Mitchell and Mykelti Williamson.

The free movie will be show on the John M. Pfau Library lawn, so bring a blanket. Free popcorn also will be available.

And moviegoers will have an opportunity to register to vote during the evening.
